• Born in Jerez (Cadiz, Spain), 74 years-old.

• I have played croquet since 1980. Croquet is indeed my favourite sport. Long time ago, I met Richard Rothwell and Robin Godby at the Santa Clara Croquet Club in southern Spain. They became my teachers and taught me the rules of this amazing sport.

• Since then, I have been lucky to meet many good players, some of them became good friends of mine.

• On the other hand, when I am not playing croquet I enjoy cooking and meeting my sons and grandsons too.

• Finally, let me say it is a great honour for me to take part in this world championship.

• I won two AC Tournaments in England, one at Hurlingham Club and the other one at Roehampton Club. Also the 4th Spanish Golf Croquet Championship (double event) in 2011. In 2013, I was runner-up.

• Other tournaments: Fernando Ansorena Trophy (single event in 2013 and runner-up in 2012 and 2014), 5th Club La Fuensanta Trophy (winner in 2014) and 5th La Fuensanta Spring Trophy (runner-up in 2014), Rives Trophy in Vista Hermosa (winner of the double event in 2011)
